If you have been around people who have been married a while and are good at it, they always seem eager to tell you the story of when they became engaged. And most of the time, you should stick around because invariably, it’s a pretty good story. But if you kept notes, engagement moments are one of two kinds. Either they are the kind that “just happen” at the spur of the moment in a moment of emotion or excitement or they are stories of a guy who really planned out what was going to happen to the last detail.
